Explore More with Teqball

The goal of this project is to boost sports tourism in Bar, Montenegro, and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the Adriatic Teqball League. Inspired by the success of Hungary and Poland in using Teqball to attract global attention, it combines international tournaments with sustainable practices. A key outcome will be the development of guidelines for sustainable sports event organization.

The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

Project Partners

Centre for Affirmation of Sports and Youth - CAMS (project coordinator)

The Center for Affirmation of Sports and Youth (CAMS) is a CSO dedicated to empowering youth and sports communities across Montenegro and the region by fostering a safe, inclusive, and innovative sports ecosystem that promotes lifelong health, well-being, and sustainable development, and brings extensive experience in implementing internationally funded EU projects that use sport as a catalyst for positive social transformation at all levels of society.

International Teqball Federation - FITEQ

As the umbrella international Teqball organization, the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) has extensive expertise in organizing high-profile international events, including the Teqball World Championships. FITEQ's involvement ensures the transfer of best practices and innovative approaches to event organization, sustainability, and promotion.

Polish Teqball Association - PZTEQ

One of the most successful Teqball national federations in the world, The Polish Teqball Association (PZTEQ) also has expertise in hosting international sports events, including the European Teqball Championships in Krakow, which was part of the European Games. Their practical experience in integrating sustainable practices makes them an invaluable partner in the project.

Association Altair

Altair is based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Known for organizing the annual Sarajevo Olympic Week, supported by the International Olympic Committee, Altair has proven capabilities in managing community-driven initiatives on a national level. Their commitment to sustainability, local expertise, and established networks are vital for implementing project activities in Sarajevo.

Teqball Federation of Montenegro - TEQMNE

Teqball Federation of Montenegro, established in September 2021, is the official governing body for Teqball inMontenegro. The federation has installed more than 100 TEQ tables nationwide and organized 25+ events on a national, regional and international level. In 2023, alongside FITEQ and CAMS, they successfully organized a European Teqball Tour tournament featuring 149 players from 30 countries. Their proven track record in promoting Teqball, organizing high-profile events, and fostering international collaboration makes them an invaluable partner for this project.
